pre-someone rises

this first section will be dedicated to how dr. sil was before the story, cause like they didnt just NOT exist before then.
so, Dr. Sil worked as a scientist at (a company i still need to name). more specifically, they worked as a astronomer studying ways to better improve space travel. when they weren't tasked with astronomy though, they did side work as a biologist of sorts. they previously studied bio-engineering and viruses, and took passion in learning how viruses worked. eventually they found a niche virus that would end in light disfigurement. they kept the discovery a secret, and of finding ways to mitigate it, they engineered it to do worse, difugure the body more and turn any creature that breathed it in to become an amorphus husk. the creature's conciousness would be supressed, leaving whatever contracted the virus barely alive, still breathing, and sometimes still feeling. and hurting. the most potent version of the virus, Dr. Sil had first tested on a fawn he found without its parents, wandering outside of the facility they were stationed at. Dr. Sil took it in, and fed it the dust that the virus takes shape in. it grew out of control, however as the effects quickly took shape. including the reproduction process, as some dust spores grew and popped off the fawn, and drifted through the vents. the rest is history as dr. sil ran and stole a spaceship before anything else.

Dr. Sil doesnt exactly... have any canon features. besides that theyre tall. thats really the only thing that they even know about themself!

Dr. Sil just doesnt know what the fuck is going on EVER their mind wont let them comprehrend what's happened on earth and nothing will let them escape what they did, ghosts haunting them and dreams of what they did invading them everywhere they go. so they try their best to move on in space, accepting that whatever they tried to do, they were set on dying before anything else.

UNI is an AI that was made by the same comapny Dr. Sil works at, and as such she is distributed to every ship produced. she can be personalized in whichever way the owner of a ship pleases, but cannot be "reset" or "killed" as it was deemed inhumane by the company early in development of the UNI project. physical forms for UNI's are not common, but she is programmed to be able to function in one regardless. the UNI in Someone Rises is one personally tailored by Dr. Sil, even if they do not remember doing as such.

physical appearance

UNI's physical form is a tuxedo cat with, who wouldve guessed, a jet-black tuxedo ! with gloves of a similar jet-black. in her chest, half hidden by the tuxedo is a speaker which she vocalizes out of. her face is a screen with green pixelated eyes that can express and blink.
