WOWIE AN OH KLHAHOMA ANALYSIS THAT PROBABLY SUCKS

Oh klahoma by jack stauber, ive always seen this song as extremely parallel to my rain world ocs. theres only like 2 or 3 lines that dont match up be even then THATS STILL SOMETHING ! ive been thinking about this for a while and ive been needing to put this SOMEWHERE. so here we are ! my website ! where i can easily share it in a hidden page. enjoy !

for reference, colored text defines whose point of view it comes from purple is pearls, red is fleet, light green is radio, and yellow is ndc ! now then without further ado... analysis time !

Set the phases to rot
    analysis !

What has got you distraught? It's negative attention at best
the second line of this, i honestly couldnt connect it to much. but the first line, Pearls is in a pretty fair amount of distress before their can collapsed, as they were getting errors for their systems that they had never seen before, and they would only tell Radio of these things as those two were the closest.

But call it nothing
Maybe it's something, a little bit, a little bit
Maybe it's something to do a little bit

Pearls tended to just brush off all of the warnings, excusing that they were nothing, that they would just fix themselves, but they knew it was something, because more warnings came by the cycle.
It's all about ascension, I guess
Don't put me to rest

ignoring everything, Pearls just returns to complaining of their original "purpose". they were made to figure out ascension, but they do not care they want to learn about the world. and most importantly, they never want to be put to rest. oh how unfortunate...

Go on and hand me your clothes
(O-oh, here you go)
Fleet asking Pearls for a pearl, to confirm their life. despite their fear and just being brought back to life, they're already being barked orders, and are made to give a dying memory away.

Take a picture or two
(Two or three?)
Radio's overseers rudely break into the remains of Pearls' can, taking pictures as he pleases, despite Pearls' feelings on the intrusions.

I can see you
(Oh)
flipping the tables this once, pearls is the one speaking the main, as they can see radio's superstructure on the shoreline, eclipsing the sun every time it sets.

Tears falling down at the party
the "party" refered to here being the collective mourning of Pearls' collapse, rain being their tears.

Saddest little baby in the room
Fears, tell me fears, don't get me started
I get a little grey hair for every scare you share

refering to Radio, Fleet cannot begin to deal or bother with him, as even if Radio tried to share his fears with her, she would ignore him just as he did when Pearls first collapsed.

Those aren't meant to bend
No, those aren't meant to bend
Those aren't meant to bend
No, those aren't meant to bend

a quite literal interpretation, Pearls is speaking of the legs of their structure. they aren't supposed to bend, but by god they do when one of their rarefraction cells explodes

I hear your eyes and I see those cries
I hear those eyes and I see those cries
I can't be the only one who hears you

Radio speaking of Pearls, as he can hear and see Pearls through his overseers. But because he cut himself off from everyone else, he believes that no one else even cares of Pearls' collapse, and believes hes the only one that can hear their cries of help.

Tears falling down at the party
Saddest little baby in the room
Fears, tell me fears, don't get me started
I get a little grey hair for every scare you share

NDC talking of Fleet, as it sees her in her most vulnerable, calling her a little baby since she even acts like one when NDC cannot provide for her. Fleet's uncaring caring for others is her ultimate flaw and NDC sees all of it.

Those aren't meant to bend
No, those aren't meant to bend
Those aren't meant to bend
No, those aren't meant to bend

NDC once again talking about Fleet, as she tries to push its boundaries into forcing another foresight.

Tears falling down at the party
Their own little "party" of Radio's overseers and a multitude of occasional visitors and left over rain dripping from their broken open can (THE TEARS)

Saddest little baby in my eye
Talking about Radio, Pearls sees the desperation in Radio with how often they see his overseers

Fears, tell me fears, don't get me started
I might die

They don't want to hear anyone's fears as they're already flooded with enough fears of their own of dying, and they never know when or if they might finally kick it and actually die, or if they every can actually die

where to ?
